Millbrae boasts over 21,000 residents of diverse ethnic, national, and cultural backgrounds. It offers a small town feel with city spirit. This location offers a number of entry-level neighborhoods made up of simple, neat ranch homes on 5,000 square-foot lots.

The city has Burlingame just to the south and to the north, San Bruno.  Its residential neighborhoods include the tree-lined, pre-war streets of Millbrae Highlands and the sleek, jet-age homes with views of Mills Estates.

This area is known for offering students a great education with some of the best schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Millbrae School District services students in Millbrae real estate. There are four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. These schools are Meadow Elementary, Green Hills Elementary, Spring Valley Elementary, Lomita Park Elementary, Taylor Middle School and Mills High School. There are also private schools.

The major freeways are the U.S. Route 101 and the Interstate 280 with run along the west and east boundaries. The San Francisco International Airport is in close proximity. For public transportation there is the Millbrae Intermodal Station is the major transit hub for the San Francisco Peninsula. BART, Caltrain and SamTrans connect to this station making it east to get to downtown and all over the Peninsula.
